Everything you need to know about using EconLens, and the terms that govern it.

How to use EconLens

EconLens is an AI research assistant built for economic analysis. Every response is grounded in live data fetched from multiple economic sources at the moment you ask. New sources are added continuously as the platform grows.

Getting started

Create a free account to access your first five analyses. No credit card required. Once signed in, you land directly in the research interface where you can start typing your question.

Asking questions

You can ask EconLens anything related to economics. A few approaches that work well:

  • Ask about a specific indicator — "What is the current Fed Funds Rate and what does it signal?"
  • Ask for a comparison — "How does US GDP growth compare to the EU right now?"
  • Ask for analysis — "What does the current yield curve tell us about recession risk?"
  • Ask for a breakdown — "Explain what CPI measures and where it stands today"
  • Ask about policy — "How is the ECB likely to respond to the latest inflation print?"

How responses are generated

When you send a message, EconLens queries multiple live economic data sources in parallel, injects the results as context, then passes everything to GPT-4o. The response you receive cites real figures pulled at that moment, not estimates from the model's training data. The number of sources queried continues to expand.

Research history

Every conversation is saved automatically and appears in your sidebar. You can return to a previous analysis, continue the thread, or start a fresh one. To delete a conversation, hover over it in the sidebar and click the trash icon.

Upgrading to Pro

The free trial includes five analyses. After that you can upgrade to EconLens Pro from your account settings for unlimited access. Pro users get the same GPT-4o model, access to every data source — including all future ones added — and priority response speed.

Note EconLens is a research aid. Responses may contain errors or outdated figures. Always verify critical data independently before making financial or policy decisions.
